The kitchen. Vietnamese in origin, broader in range. Phở with flat rice noodles and broth drawn for hours, bánh xèo, glass noodle soups – alongside curries at home elsewhere: rendang from Indonesia, massaman and green curry from Thailand, tikka and tandoori from India, chicken curry from Malaysia. Vegetables, herbs and sauces are made in house, fresh every day, with no convenience products and no flavour enhancers.
Lunch and dinner. Two ways of eating under one roof. Monday to Friday the lunch menu with daily changing dishes runs from 10:30, at CHF 18.50 to 19.50 served with brown rice and wok vegetables. In the evening we cook à la carte – starters from CHF 8.50, main courses between CHF 19.50 and 28.50.
Vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free. There is something every day: green curry with tofu, lentil masala curry, pad thai, spicy aubergine, papaya salad, spring and summer rolls. Every dish is marked on both menus. Where fish sauce or egg can be left out, just say so when ordering.
The place. The dining room is on Uetlibergstrasse, a few steps from the Coop. Groups have a separate area with a long table; in summer the terrace at the front and the planted courtyard are added. Park in the underground car park at the Coop, or take public transport to Kalkbreite or Wiedikon station.
Since 19 January 2026 Iyathurai Subaskaran has run the restaurant. What has stayed is the location in the middle of the neighbourhood – for the lunch break, for dinner during the week, and for anything that needs more than one table.

Beef, slowly braised in coconut milk and spices until the sauce is dark and dense. It takes time, so there is only as much as was started in the morning.
Red curry paste, coconut milk, fish and fresh herbs on top. Firmly spiced without putting the heat first.
Prawns on crisp vegetables with herbs, lime and a dressing mixed in house. Light without being dull.
From Monday to Friday a lunch menu with daily changing Asian dishes runs from 10:30 – with Vietnamese specialities, bowls, wok dishes and different sides every day. Made for the lunch break: warm, quick, no waiting.
If you prefer a plate, take the lunch menu at CHF 18.50 to 19.50, served with brown rice and wok vegetables. It changes daily: Monday beef rendang and butter chicken, Tuesday beef tikka masala and prawn red curry, Wednesday salmon in saffron sauce and Javanese lamb curry, Thursday chicken kung pao and char with coconut and lemongrass, Friday satay meatballs and sweet and sour chicken.
Vegan and gluten-free options are available every day – lentil masala curry, green curry with tofu, pad thai, leaf spinach with tofu and coconut, or chickpea and sweet potato curry. Every dish is marked on the lunch menu.

On 19 January 2026 Iyathurai Subaskaran took over the restaurant at Uetlibergstrasse 22 and reopened it. What stayed is the location in the middle of the neighbourhood; what is new is the kitchen.
It is Vietnamese-rooted – phở, bánh xèo, rice noodle soups – and extended by curries at home elsewhere: rendang from Indonesia, massaman and green curry from Thailand, tikka and tandoori from India, chicken curry from Malaysia. No fusion talk, just dishes that sit side by side because each one works on its own.
