BOWL & WOK has been run by Iyathurai Subaskaran since 19 January 2026. The kitchen combines Vietnamese origins with Asian range: a daily lunch menu at lunchtime, an evening menu of soups, wok dishes, curries and bowls. Everything is cooked fresh each day, without unnecessary additives.

On 19 January 2026 Iyathurai Subaskaran took over the restaurant at Uetlibergstrasse 22 and reopened it. What stayed is the location in the neighbourhood; what is new is the kitchen: Vietnamese-rooted, extended by curries from Thailand, India, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Vegetables, herbs and sauces are made in house. What needs time gets time – the beef rendang braises until the sauce is dark and dense, which is why at some point in the evening it runs out.
From 10:30 a lunch menu with daily changing Vietnamese specialities, bowls and wok dishes is ready. Made for the lunch break: warm, quick, no waiting. Also available as takeaway.

To cateringThe dining room is on Uetlibergstrasse. In summer the terrace at the front and the planted inner courtyard are added. Groups have a separate area with a long table – for birthdays, company dinners and anything that needs more than one table.
